Superlativa® is derived from the unused parts of the pearl oyster, suitably reduced into micro flakes, and recomposed into a 400-micron microfilm adaptable to a wide variety of industrial solutions intended for high-end industry. It can be called in effect an upcycling process of the pearl industry.

The term ''sustainable'' can mean anything and everything if it is not tied to rigorous scientific parameters, which is why we selected Ecocrest certification and the Genoa Aquarium Foundation as our project partners.

Per single oyster, 8.36388 grams of carbon can be sequestered per 2-year lifecycle, or a range of between 1,400 to 2,500 kilograms of carbon sequestration per hectare, depending on which the farm is located. The main advantage of oyster farming is that unlike other ocean sequestration techniques, the oyster shell permanently removes carbon from the ocean as well as the atmosphere.

Superlativa® is derived from a pearl industry upcycle process, which to date ensures zero waste-nothing is wasted of this precious and valuable natural resource. In addition, the high level of research and development and investments made over the years in our labs have made it possible to explore industrial uses hitherto unthinkable with traditional mother-of-pearl by making, for example, a leather composed of a recycled or eco-friendly or rare substrate such that it can be used by the footwear and accessories industry in their normal production cycle.

Being a product derived from a live mollusc cannot be considered a vegan product, at the same time we are raising dedicated pearl oysters destined for a totally natural life cycle. They will then be taken from their site, one of the most beautiful seas in the world, the Arafura Sea, only at the end of their lifetime. In Superlativa® we mainly have two business and technical divisions, one dedicated to project industrialization and one dedicated to bespoke projects.
o We usually start with handcrafted prototypes for the style and R&D departments to finalize the product for the market.

We then move on to an industrialization phase with a budget designated by the customer himself and depending on the difficulty within a few months we are generally able to produce a semi-finished product that can be perfectly integrated into the customer's production cycle.

Compared to the traditional two-year warranty, we guarantee the industrial product for five years, and bespoke products to ten years.
